Unusual Peace Supper

Tuesday 15 March 2016 at the Malt Cross 16 St James’s Street

The Peace Supper will only be unusual in that, for reasons of insurance, we cannot bring our own food. The Malt Cross, from which the Street Pastors operate, will provide a vegetarian buffet for £5 per head. There is no obligation on anyone to take the buffet. Anyone who intends to come and eat who has special dietary requirements, such as needing gluten free food, is asked to notify the Malt Cross or the Street Pastors (streetpastors@hotmail.com), and provision will be made.

The timetable will be:

6.45pm Buffet
7.30pm talk by Ian Homer on the work of the Street Pastors and questions etc
8.30pm discussion of future Peace Suppers

The event will take place in the CRAFT SPACE at the Malt Cross, which is downstairs from the entrance. There is a lift.

The Malt Cross is in the part of St James’s Street which runs from the edge of the Market Square/Beastmarket Hill, by Lloyds Bank, to Maid Marian Way. There is no car parking space. It may be possible to park on street either near the Castle or on the Ropewalk . There is the NCP park on Maid Marian Way. From most places it should be possible to come by bus to Angel Row or Maid Marian Way.

The Malt Cross is a traditional Music Hall, which is still being used as such. It is worthwhile to look round the building either before or after the meeting, and there is a bar from which drinks can be purchased.
