Blended Meeting for Worship

Meeting ID: 862 7845 0566
Passcode: Light2021

We will use Zoom to meet online at our normal time of Meeting for Worship.

This is a blended meeting on the first Sunday of the month.

Beforehand:

Download zoom to your tablet/phone/PC if you don't already have it, its best to do this in advance of your first meeting

Links:
 - Apple device: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id546505307
 - Android device: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=us.zoom.videomeetings
 - PC: https://zoom.us/client/latest/ZoomInstaller.exe

You may wish to set up an account but I don't think you need to in order to access the meeting.

It could be a good idea to add the meeting to any online calendar you keep. If you wish to do this download and import the following iCalendar (.ics) files to your calendar system: https://zoom.us/meeting/uJQpdeuvqDkt_RYvVmBTIkBZSlkW6mcspw/ics?icsToken=98tyKuyoqjkoHdKXt1z9Y7YtE5n7b9_qlk58k7VrkT3RKitxWDD6PdUUP7FsAM-B

On the day:

Visit the website https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86278450566 from 10.25am onwards each Sunday.  You may need to enter the password: Light2021.

Please follow any on-screen instructions relating to audio/video.

Meeting for Worship will start at 10.30 am, though the link will go live at about 10.25am to allow people to gather.

You may enter a virtual waiting room if you go to the link before the event is live and/or whilst waiting for the host to start the meeting.

Meeting for Worship will run for the scheduled hour but an extra half an hour has been allocated for notices/after-words/discussion.

When you join the online meeting for worship, your microphone will be automatically muted. If you wish to share ministry at any point (or a notice after meeting for worship), please unmute your microphone and mute it afterwards (keeping microphones muted preserves the quality of silence and prevents others from hearing background/white noise).

10 March 2026Social Event

Crochet Group

Venue: 25 Clarendon St, Nottingham NG1 5JD, UK

While crochet is in our name, we aren't exclusive—we warmly welcome all knitters and stitchers to join the fun.

When & Where

We meet in the Social Room at the Meeting House twice a month:

2nd Tuesday: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Last Saturday: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
These are drop-in sessions, so feel free to stay all afternoon or just pop in for a restful hour.

All Abilities Welcome

Most of us are absolute beginners, but we are lucky to be supported by Lynn May, whose "superpower" is crochet! She has kindly agreed to share her wisdom with us novices. Whether you’re an expert or don't know a slipknot from a treble stitch, all you need is enthusiasm (and a hook and yarn, if you have them!).

The 2026 Christmas Challenge

We’ve set a goal to crochet as many Granny Squares as possible this year! We’ll be joining them into scarves and blankets to donate to the Refugee Forum or the Anti-Destitution Fund.

Can’t make the sessions? You can still help! Get in touch with Sandy to arrange how you can contribute squares from home.

Stay Connected

Beyond the "nattering" and tea, we have a WhatsApp Group for reminders and pattern sharing. There’s even talk of learning to make socks—a daunting but marvellous prospect!

Questions? Contact Sandy for more information.

Ways to Help

Whether you want to get your hands dirty or prefer a "desk" project, there is a role for you:

Practical Work: Digging, weeding, and planting.

Project Work: We have several projects requiring technical and research skills.

22 April 2026 at 10:00 – 14:00 Social Event

Gardens & Burial Grounds Committee

Venue: 25 Clarendon St, Nottingham NG1 5JD, UK

Gardens & Burial Grounds Committee
The work party dates for 2026 are now set! We look forward to welcoming all volunteers who want to enjoy some fresh air, good company, and—of course—plenty of tea.

We are also excited to continue our partnership with students from NTU’s Help in the Community Society, offering a wonderful chance to meet new people while working alongside fellow Friends.

When & Where

We meet in the gardens of the Meeting House twice a month:

Dates: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month

Time: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (though we often stay longer as the weather improves!)

These are drop-in sessions, so feel free to stay for the duration or just pop in for a short bit to say hello.

Ways to Help

Whether you want to get your hands dirty or prefer a "desk" project, there is a role for you:

Practical Work: Digging, weeding, and planting.

Project Work: We have several projects requiring technical and research skills.

If you have even a little bit of free time, we can find something useful for you to do!

We will use Zoom to meet online at our normal time of Meeting for Worship.

This is a blended meeting on the first Sunday of the month.

Beforehand:

Download zoom to your tablet/phone/PC if you don't already have it, its best to do this in advance of your first meeting

Stay Connected

Beyond the "nattering" and tea, we have a WhatsApp Group for reminders and pattern sharing. There’s even talk of learning to make socks—a daunting but marvellous prospect!

Blended Meeting for Worship

Join Online Meeting (available shortly before event)
